Idea to Impact Season 1

In Week 1, we will set up our machines for development, learn about the essetial tools used during the development process and solidify some of the ideas focused around our product. We will also sign up for accounts with several services that will prominent throughout our course

In Week 2, we will start setting up our own versions of the Vercel Subscription Starter. We will learn about services such as Supabase and Stripe which will enable user management and payment processing on our SAAS platforms. We will also learn how to make crucial edits to the starter project, set up a connection to our databases, and configure our Stripe portal for subscription based products.

In Week 3, we will be finishing up our setup for Stripe and making sure that checkout works for people signing up using our website. We will also learn how to navigate Github to find code that works best with our SAAS template. Additionally, we will be learning about different API providers that are common when building AI SAAS applications such as Open AI, Replicate, and Fal.ai.

In Week 4, we will be working on splicing some of the project we found on GitHub into our SAAS template. We will also get a better understanding of NextJS and how the SAAS template is expandable. Moreover, we will start using artificial intelligence to help us code and integrate several API services into our SAAS template. During this week, we should have a solid idea of what our SAAS product is and have several Github projects that showcase the features that our SAAS template will have.

In Week 5, we will customize the overall UI and UX of our SAAS template. We will be learning about the different react UI libraries that are available to us for free. The goal is to pick a UI library and integrate it into our website. We will also dive deeper into Tailwind CSS and how to customize the theme of our website and manipulate JSX elements to look and feel like our brand. Additionally, we will be using AI and different vision models such as GPT 4 Vision to write the code for our new UI.

In Week 6, we will be moving our SAAS websites into production mode and activating Stripe. Additionally, we will cover building our landing pages. We will also discuss different hosting options such as Railway and Digital Ocean. Moreover, we will be reviewing how to create new features and expand on our SAAS templates.
